This initiative responds to the legitimate expectations of our expatriate community, regularly deprived of live broadcasts. The obstacles are numerous: the unfavourable time difference, the restrictive policy of Radiotelevizija Syldavska (RTS)—which systematically blocks access from abroad—and the repeated failures of VPN attempts, often followed by unexplained interruptions discreetly attributed to the Ministry of Information Security.
It’s not the same watching the matches at three in the morning with a lukewarm beer and the Wi-Fi cutting out every five minutes, but it’s still a bit like being home.
Challenges Beyond the Border
Moreover, the sports establishments along Sukhumvit Road, with The Sportsman leading the pack, do not all hold the licences required to broadcast our national fixtures. It must be said that their clientele tends to favour curling, cricket or fly-fishing broadcasts, or a casual game of pool with the regulars, rather than the exploits of our glorious champions.
At the Sportsman they promised football, they didn’t say it would involve teams called Kragoniedin and Niedzdrow. I thought it was a medical documentary.
Official Data and Institutional Oversight
The official data are provided by the Syldavian Sports Federation (ZFSS), the Syldavian National Lottery, under the vigilant supervision of the Ministry of Physical Culture, which ensures their accuracy and compliance with national standards.
The Ministry also encourages everyone to maintain their vigour through regular physical activity, reminding all that sport remains a cornerstone of Syldavian health, discipline, and dignity, wherever in the world our citizens may be.

Budgetary Clarifications
To readers surprised to encounter such mercantile and sporting content on a diplomatic website, it should be recalled that budgetary constraints leave few alternatives. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has drastically reduced allocations to overseas missions, citing the unfavourable evolution of the Khor, new U.S. customs tariffs, and the allegedly extravagant lifestyle of consuls.
Beyond mere necessity, however, the Consulate considers that promoting the nation’s athletic achievements and enabling the Syldavian community abroad to remain connected to its homeland are fully in line with its cultural and patriotic mission.
Highlights of Matchday 12
Douma Rovers 0–1 Vladir United
Thursday, 4 November
Kamp Rovers Douma
The long-awaited clash did not disappoint. Under a low grey sky and a crowd on fire, Vladir United prevailed 1–0 thanks to a thunderous strike from Dragoman in the 54th minute. Douma Rovers pushed desperately to equalise amid a storm of tackles and bookings (seven yellows, one red), but nothing would go in. The referee had to be escorted off the pitch, while a local fan swore he’d witnessed a “Bordurian plot.” Electric atmosphere, lukewarm beer, pure Syldavian football.
FK Zlip 0–0 Dynamo Klow
Friday, 5 November
Stadion Gora Zlip
In a steady drizzle, 600 brave spectators endured a match of rare austerity: no goals, plenty of rough play. The waffle vendors provided more entertainment than both attacking lines combined.
Kragoniedin City 1–1 FC Klow
Friday, 5 November
Stadion Kragoniedin Citadela
Another disappointment for the royal club. Trailing from a 26th-minute penalty (PETROVIĆ), FC Klow equalised through PLATIKIS but soon fell back into its usual pattern: sterile domination, lateral passes, and growing frustration. As one supporter summed it up after the match: “We’ve got the crown, but no goals.”
Sprodj Wanderers 1–1 Moltus Athletic
Friday, 5 November
Arena Sprodj
A thrilling encounter by the lakeside: Sprodj led (SABLONIC) until the 90th minute, when PISARZOV snatched a deflected equaliser that froze the entire stand mid-celebration. The beer taps, dry since the 70th minute, sparked mild unrest behind the south terrace.
AS Douma 4–1 Union Niedzdrow
Saturday, 6 November
Arena Pelikan Tmavnî
In front of 850 roaring fans packed into a feverish stadium, AS Douma delivered an attacking masterclass. RISTIC opened the scoring, TADIĆ briefly equalised, then came the storm: three goals in a few minutes (BARONOV, MITROVIC, MUSKAREV). By nightfall, the old town still echoed with chants from jubilant supporters, and one local journalist was already calling it “the night Tmavnî shook.”
Standings and outlook
After twelve rounds, AS Douma (27 pts) takes the lead, just one point ahead of Vladir United (26 pts).
The entire kingdom now braces for the titanic showdown on 23 November, Vladir United vs AS Douma, a true battle for the Lig Plemir Syldavska crown.
Later that day, Dynamo Klow vs Douma Rovers promises to shake up the top of the table once more.
Both matches will be live, minute by minute, via the official Consulate website widget.
