The Ministry of External Communications has confirmed that the quarterly functionality test of the Direct Syldavian–Bordurian Hotline will take place as planned. The two-minute test window allows for acoustic verification, signal continuity assessment, and reassurance of symbolic readiness.

No reply is expected from the Bordurian side, in accordance with long-standing protocol (Addendum IV, Silent Compliance Clause).

All personnel are advised not to attempt communication during the interval, nor to interpret the absence of sound as a malfunction.

Observers may note the indicator lamp cycling between red and amber during the operation — this is normal. Ear protection is not required.

A summary of test results will be archived under Routine Assurance (Category D).
