The Office of the Consul reminds all Syldavian citizens that the deadline to submit your annual tax return is fast approaching. Please take note of the following important details:
- Deadline: 17 June 2025 (inclusive), until 23:59 SRT
- File Online: Via the official online portal of the Ministry of Finance of Syldavia.
- By Post: Filing by post remains fully accepted.
Important Notice
It is worth noting that, at the time of writing, the Ministry’s online portal is temporarily unavailable — no doubt due to yet another malicious campaign originating from across our eastern border.
However, this situation does not constitute a valid ground for late filing. Citizens are expected to meet the deadline, and filings may be sent by post if necessary.
Paper filings
All paper filings must be completed using Syldavian Blue Ink No. 214B, as stipulated in the Ministry’s guidelines. Forms completed in any other colour will not be processed.
We remind citizens that for postal submissions from Thailand, at least 7 working days should be allowed for the declaration to reach Klow. Sending the declaration by registered mail and by air mail is strongly recommended. Declarations transmitted by untraceable means may be rejected.
Assistance
We strongly encourage all citizens to complete their tax obligations in a timely manner to avoid penalties. While the Consulate cannot provide personalised tax advice, we are available for general enquiries regarding the process. Additionally, the Consulate may, on an exceptional basis, provide limited quantities of Syldavian Blue Ink No. 214B, subject to availability and restricted to a maximum of 10 ml per household.
Please note: our Liaison Officer in Bangkok, who handles such enquiries, is currently available on a limited schedule due to ongoing administrative duties. We therefore recommend contacting the Consulate as early as possible should you require guidance. Your cooperation in respecting the above deadlines is appreciated.
